Scraper sight glass

The scraper mirror, also known as the blade mirror, is a type of flat mirror. It is equipped with a scraper device inside the mirror, which can be used to remove dirt or attachments on the lens.

Structural Features: The scraper mirror is primarily composed of the mirror body, lens, scraper, and handle. The scraper is typically made of soft PTFE or silicone plate to prevent damage to the glass lens. By rotating the handle, the scraper can be driven to rotate on the surface of the mirror glass, thereby cleaning the dirt on the lens.

Working principle: When there is a medium or dirt adhering to the lens of the sight glass, rotate the handle on the sight glass to drive the scraper to rotate synchronously. The edge of the scraper fits against the inner surface of the sight glass, scraping off the dirt to keep the lens clear and facilitate observation of the internal conditions of equipment or pipelines.

Manufacturing standards: The commonly used standards are JB593-64 and HG/T21619-86.

Specification parameters:

Caliber: Generally, sizes ranging from DN80 to DN200 are more common.

Material: The shell material typically includes carbon steel WCB, stainless steel 304, 321, 316, 316L, etc.; the window material is mostly tempered borosilicate glass or quartz glass; the sealing material includes nitrile rubber, polytetrafluoroethylene, high-temperature resistant graphite, etc.

Working conditions: The working pressure typically ranges from 0 to 2.5 MPa, and the working temperature is usually between 0 and 200℃, with specific variations depending on the material and manufacturing standards.

Connection methods: including flange connection, female thread connection, male thread connection, butt welding connection, clamp connection, etc., which can be selected according to actual working conditions and installation requirements.

Application areas: Widely used in pipeline installations for industrial production in petroleum, chemical, food, and other industries, it can observe the flow and reaction of liquids, gases, steam, and other media in the pipeline at any time, playing a role in observing production and preventing accidents during the production process.
