Sanitary grade pipeline sight glass, also known as an observer, is a device used to observe the flow of liquids, gases, vapors, and other media.


Structural composition: mainly composed of mirror base plate, mirror glass, and valve components.


Material selection: SUS304 or SUS316L stainless steel materials are usually used for manufacturing. The mirror glass is mostly borosilicate glass or quartz glass, and the sealing components are made of food grade materials that comply with relevant hygiene standards such as FDA, 3-A, EHEDG, etc.


Connection methods: There are welding, quick installation, flange, etc., which can be selected according to specific pipeline systems and usage requirements.


Type characteristics: Common types include straight through sight glasses, which can observe 360 ° and can be installed horizontally or vertically, suitable for online observation of pipelines; Flexible type mirror, easy to disassemble and replace, suitable for observing tank equipment; Welding four-way sight glass, which can be observed from multiple directions, is suitable for complex pipeline systems.


Application areas: Widely used in industries with high hygiene requirements such as food, beverages, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, etc., it is used to monitor the flow status, liquid level height, color changes, etc. of the medium in the pipeline, ensuring the safety of the production process and product quality.


Installation and maintenance precautions: Before installation, the surface of the mirror can be wiped with an alcohol swab to avoid using cleaning agents containing acidic substances. Choose the appropriate gasket according to the temperature. Asbestos or PTFE gaskets can be used for temperatures below 280 ℃, while graphite gaskets are recommended for temperatures above 500 ℃. As the glass thickness increases, the gasket thickness should also increase accordingly. When installing, apply even force and tighten the screws diagonally. During use, it is necessary to regularly inspect the mirror glass, especially in environments with acidic and alkaline liquids. Pay close attention to the corrosion of the glass surface and keep the window glass clean and dust-free.
