一、 Basic material characteristics

The raw material is high-purity fused silica (silicon dioxide content ≥ 99.99%), which can be divided into three categories: JGS1 ultraviolet quartz, JGS2 optical quartz, and JGS3 infrared quartz, which can meet the needs of different spectra:

The softening temperature can reach up to 1730 ℃, and it can work stably in an environment of 1100 ℃ for a long time. It can withstand severe temperature differences between hot and cold, and is not easy to explode due to sudden cooling and heating. It is incomparable to ordinary tempered glass and borosilicate glass.


Excellent spectral transparency

It has high transmittance in the ultraviolet, visible, and near-infrared bands. UV products are commonly used in UV experiments and UV curing equipment; Ordinary optical models are compatible with regular observation windows and laser protective lenses.


Strong chemical stability

Resistant to strong acids and organic solvents, it hardly reacts with other chemicals except hydrofluoric acid and high-temperature concentrated alkali, making it suitable for chemical reaction vessels and observation windows in corrosive environments.


Low expansion and excellent insulation performance

Extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion, not easily deformed at high temperatures; It has good electrical insulation and is suitable for various types of optoelectronic and high-temperature electrical equipment.


二、 Product process and specifications

The disc undergoes cutting, precision grinding, double-sided polishing, and edge chamfering treatment, resulting in a smooth and scratch free surface. The edges are chamfered to prevent chipping, making it easy to seal and install.


Shape: standard circular, diameter and thickness can be customized according to non-standard requirements;


Processing options: double-sided polishing, single-sided sanding, anti reflective coating, perforation, and irregular cutting;


Tolerance controllable: High dimensional accuracy, parallelism and flatness meet the assembly standards of optical equipment.

四 、 The difference between quartz glass and ordinary glass


Many people confuse it with ordinary tempered glass and borosilicate mirrors, and the core difference lies in:

The long-term use limit of ordinary glass is about 300-500 ℃; Long term use of borosilicate glass ≤ 500 ℃; Quartz glass can sustainably withstand high temperatures above 1000 ℃.

If the working conditions involve high temperature, ultraviolet light, and strong corrosion, quartz discs are a reliable choice for long-term stable operation.
