New Glass Borosilicate Tube Liquid Level Meter Gauge for Fluid Level Measurement

The glass of the liquid level gauge is a key component used to observe the height of the liquid in the container, and it needs to have characteristics such as corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, pressure resistance, and good transparency.

1. Transparent glass level gauge

Material: Ordinary borosilicate glass.

characteristic:

Good transparency, allowing for direct observation of colorless or light colored liquids.

Low cost, but weak temperature and pressure resistance (usually ≤ 80 ℃, ≤ 1.0MPa).

Application: Atmospheric water tank, low-pressure storage tank isothermal and environmental.

2. Quartz glass level gauge

Material: High purity quartz glass (SiO ₂).

characteristic:

High temperature resistance (up to 1200 ℃), heat shock resistance (not easily cracked during sudden cooling and heating).

Resistant to chemical corrosion (except hydrofluoric acid and hot phosphoric acid).

High UV transmittance, suitable for special optical monitoring.

Application: High temperature reactor, semiconductor processing, strong acid environment.

3. Tempered glass level gauge

Process: Ordinary glass undergoes physical or chemical tempering treatment.

characteristic:

The mechanical strength is increased by 3-5 times, and after crushing, it becomes granular with high safety.

The temperature resistance range is -30 ℃~250 ℃, and the pressure resistance can reach 4MPa.

Application: High pressure scenarios such as boilers and pressure vessels.

4. Two color glass plate level gauge (red and white/green and white)

Design principle: By utilizing the difference in light refraction, the liquid part displays green/red and the gas part displays white.

Advantages: Clear liquid level contrast, identifiable from a distance, reducing misreading.

Application: High risk scenarios such as steam boilers and petrochemicals.

5. Anti frost glass level gauge

Special treatment: surface coated with a heating film or vacuum interlayer design.

Purpose: To prevent frosting and condensation on the outer surface of glass in low-temperature environments (such as liquid ammonia and LNG storage tanks).
